Blog #8: See you soon!

Wassgood everyone and welcome to yet another blog of my 8-blog series where I will tell you everything about overseas basketball!

Wow, this is sad, this is my last blog for you guys, and I must say that I have really enjoyed doing these blogs/researching the ins and outs of overseas basketball. I did this specific series because I know that there are so many people out there with dreams, but you just don't know where to start. Or maybe you just never got the opportunity.

Well, that is where I came in, to give you an outlet on what to expect and how to handle situations and ultimately get your priorities straight. I wanted to give you guys the blueprint for you to be successful at that level. I myself have dreams of playing basketball professionally and even these steps have helped me in taking my game to another level.

In this blog I do not have new information for you because I have given you all I can give, now it is up to you to put all the things that you have read into your life! What I will do for my new readers as well as my current readers who may have missed a few blogs is give a rundown of a few of my favorite blogs that I think is most beneficial!

One last time :( ... ARE YOU READY????

Coming in at #1 is Blog #7 titled "taking care of your body" .

My reasoning for this being my favorite blog to discuss and enlighten you guys on is because it is so overlooked. It is human nature to forget about the proper things your body needs, and we tend to just go out and play instead of doing the right things leading up to competition.

*RECAP*

The three most important things that I found that will help you perform as well as possible is...

  1. Warming up Properly

  2. Getting plenty of rest

  3. Eating healthy and staying hydrated

These three things will help you perform the best that you can if you just do it. On my social media pages (be sure to follow, like on homepage) I provided a picture to give you guys a look at what you should most likely be eating. *For reference*

I even provided you guys with a few stretches that you could do to make sure your body is loose and ready for the games! There are also some that I did not show you that I think can be very beneficial for flexibility.

In the hyperlink above, I have provided you guys with a stretch routine that is a little bit harder, but I believe that it will help your flexibility in a tremendous way!

Coming in at #2 is Blog #4 "Transitioning"

Reason that this was my second favorite blog is because it allowed me to talk about two players who went through adversity and overcame and are still fighting.

I highlighted Jimmer Fredette and Michael Beasley, two beasts of players who unfortunately couldn't stay in the NBA but still are making their names known overseas with the Shanghai Sharks. Truly, they are simply a testimony to not giving up. They both have had the odds stacked against them and no matter what, they have not given up and they continue to push through. That is a lesson for you as well as me. No matter the situation or what you are going through, do not give up because there is someone counting on you, and you never know who is watching. You can inspire others!

I just want to thank each and every one of you for tuning in with me over these past 8 weeks! I am looking to continue this series if/when I get the chance to play basketball overseas one day! That way I can share some of the experiences I have endured while I was playing overseas. I believe that will be a great thing to do for you guys and I can't wait to continue this journey. GOODLUCK AND STAY GROUNDED... keep working, you got this. :) #overseasbasketball #basketball #italy #china #NBA #BBL #Germany #d1 #d1basketball
